Use night vision spotting scopes with laser
sights for hunting in the night and your target is in the bag!
Scopes are simple optical instruments, and like binoculars, are used by
hunters and shooters to magnify faraway objects. When these scopes are
armed with night vision technology and used to spot animals, they are
known as night vision spotting scopes. Laser sights on the other hand
use very advanced technology where a concentrated beam of light shows
the hunter where the bullet will strike. For hunting in the dark, night
vision spotting scopes may be used along with laser sights, which
provide greater efficiency than riflescopes in such a situation.
So how does a hunter use a night vision scope? The night vision scopes
gather the ambient moonlight and converts into electrons, which are
magnified many thousands of times and strike a phosphor screen. Here
they are converted back into photons, thus producing an image of the
target that the hunter can see. Some spotting scopes use in-built
infrared illuminators that provide light in case it is pitch dark. Once
the hunter has ascertained the location of the target, all he has to do
is aim with the help of his laser sights and fire.
Earlier, night vision goggles were used for surveillance and hunting.
Unlike night vision spotting scopes these have lower or no magnification
power at all and hence are less popular now. If you would like to be
absolutely sure to hitting your target, use these scopes along with
laser sights to improve your accuracy tremendously. Both are must-haves
for anybody who enjoys hunting and the art of tracking down a target. So
include them in your hunting kit and happy shooting!
